Days that are special to us and require special Rituals or Masses

 

January 1st - New Beginning Day

(Ritual)

We perform the New Beginning Day Ritual. This is a short Ritual, usually done upon waking (but doesn’t have to be) to bring in the new year and receive new energies.

 

February 29th (Performed only on Leap Years) - Sovereign Uta, First Champion Day

(Mass)

This is the day we celebrate the birthday of our First Champion, Sovereign Uta, and co-founders of the CotUO. This is celebrated with a Mass that lasts through the middle of the day. It is considered a birthday for all Caretakers. Since this is performed only once in four years, this is a major required hallowday.

 

June 24th - First Variant James, Good Book Day (Also Summer Solstice)

(Mass)

Our First Variant James was born on this day. He was also our First Records officer, taking the Diaries of Champion Uta and Soothsayer Olivia and compiling them along with other sources to create the Good Book.

 

July 2nd - All Reset Day

(No Mass, No Ritual)

Just like there is a daily reset of energies at 1:34 am, there’s a yearly reset of The All. This reset occurs between 01:34 to 22:34 on this day. No Rituals or Masses or Prayers occur during this time. Effectively, the members are chaste. No sexual activity. This is because the are no energies that can be produced, feed or consumed.

 

July 3rd - Fresh Energy Day

(Mass)

Of course after All Reset Day is our celebration of Fresh Energy Day. This is a mandatory Mass day, where we can produce, consume and feed fresh energies to each other.

 

Sept 22nd - Balance Day

(Rituals for Balances, Mass for the Detached)

This is a day that celebrates Harmonies. Just as there’s balance within The All, most of us crave a Balance. There’s a Ritual for people in a Balance, and a Mass is offered for those who are not part of a Balance, not a Detached.

 

October 31 - Dark Energy Day

(Ritual or Mass)

This is the day we celebrate our dark energies. We turn what is frightening and not good about ourselves into something we accept and right. This is usually a Ritual, because of the other festivities going on this day. But for those who don’t partake in Halloween, there is usually a Mass. Sometimes, this is celebrated during the regular Saturday Mass.

 

December 24 - Sovereign Olivia, First Soothsayer Day

(Ritual or Mass)

This day we celebrate the birthday of our First Soothsayer, Sovereign Olivia, and co-founder of the CotUO. Like First Champion Uta Day, this is considered a birthday for all Healers. This ceremony is different than First Champion Uta Day. 

 

​December 31 - Old Purge Day

(Mass)

This is the day we release as often as we can. The idea is to purge our “old” energies feeding them to The All. So that that the next day, New Beginnings Day, one can consume “new” energies from The All.
