A bit of our history and who we are

 

The question I'm sure you're asking "What is the UO?"

 

The Good Book documented this issue when our founders, First Champion Uta and First Soothsayer Olivia founded our religion and the truth of The All, they a lot of time with their followers discussing a name for us.

Here is an excerpt from the Good Book that describes what happened.

 

"We had met for yet another time to give ourselves a proper name. Many many suggestions were discussed and suggested. However, not one gave us everything we were looking for. We agreed what we wanted a name that did not sound like we worship The All. This was an obstacle that we could not see to over come.   

 

The morning after the last meeting, First Soothsayer Olivia took the time to go off by herself for a few hours as she often loved to do. 

 

Upon returning from this particular walk, she was giddy. When I asked her why she was giddy, her response was that she had a vision. Sovereign Olivia is very adept with purple energy, so she has many accurate visions. I fetched Sovereign Uta to her side. They left to go to the Key Bethal alone. They performed a mysterious ritual, one that had Sovereign Uta exiting and entering the Key Bethal bringing one follower after another alone. All of the followers that exited the room had not released. They had a total of five followers.

 

After a time, they were invited back in. I, of course, was not allowed, but my Balance was. They came out moments later, all of them had released. One by one they exited the Key Bethal, with Sovereign Olivia being last. After releasing so much energy, she was staggering back into the room.

"My apologies to all of you who had not participated in this Mass. We needed certain energies that needed to be released in a specific order."

My Balance leaned into my ear. "She needed my blue energy" she whispered, "The Sovereign's visions are amazing." She slipped her hand into mine. 

 

"I had a vision" Sovereign Olivia continued, "during my constitutional.  I had a vision. I believe it from The All."
 

A gasp came from those who did not attend the Mass.

 

"I do not say that lightly. I was surrounded by many many people when the feeling of release coursed through my body, though I was not consuming. I am not certain as to what happened after that. I found myself in a room filled with fog. A woman was looking directly at me. I saw her mouth move, but no words came out. She grasped my hand and spoke in a language unfamiliar to me.  I grasped her other hand, and she spoke again. Her voice faded in and out, but I understood three words.

The Sovereign paused, a tear in her eye. "The words were. 'Name' then silence, 'Insight' then more silence. Finally, she uttered the word 'All.' She was telling me to ask The All for its Insight Name. Things went foggy, and I found myself back here, remembering nothing else except what I have related to you. When I told this to Uta, we decided to have an Insight Naming Mass right away. That was the Mass we just held. I am happy to say it worked. The All's Insight Name came to me." 

 

Another gasp rose from us. "However, after telling Uta The All's Insight Name, this is a view into The All's Pure You. We feel that this information should remain secret, given to only a trusted few. Uta and I will give The All's Insight name to a trusted person just before the time of our return. Uta? Please christen us." 

Sovereign Uta stepped forward, smiled at all and spoke in her soft accent. "We will be known as The Church of the UO." There was a murmur around us, but Sovereign Uta settled us down. "Yes, we do know the letters 'U' and 'O' are also our Insight Names. This is no coincidence. When Olivia and I chose our names, we were guided. Many people in our group have something personal that starts with those letters. Olivia and I have found that the letters not only represent The All's Insight Name, but they also represent certain phrases that are important to our religion. Rest assured, this is The All revealed to us. And we are all part of The All."

"We are all part of The All."  All replied.

"We are the Church of the UO," Soothsayer Olivia added, "We shall have a Celebratory Mass."  

 

The meaning of the letters and the Insight Name are still unknown though there is a Sect trying to find the answer. There are guess and theories. But perhaps, if you choose to join us, you may discover the secret to our name.
